Module Code: HLFC1809 Year 2 Sem 1

Pre-requisites: a lot of patience and perseverance
Module workload: many hours and lots of practice, to repay sleep debt after module.

Chapter 1:
Druggies. we're not pharm-ers yet are expected to know equivalent to them. and know what doctors, psychologist, sociologist, MSW, PT/OT, cleaners, etc do.
therefore, GA today= KO!! literally. @.@ CPR anyone?? or defib?? (though GA won't need these to reverse effects. haha.)
side track: loves a nice APN to help understand NUR2111 case studies.

Chapter 2:
aiyoh, missy dun take so long to do IV priming. pt die already if it's fluid resuscist!
bubble? nvm, i help you. after a while, aiya nvm, pretend no bubble. pt won't die cux pt was never alive. mdm chin ah moy can be mr chin ah moy too. and is made of lots of plastic. hur hur.
bubble cause air embolism = heart attack, stroke, etc -> sin lodged in heart = spirtual heart failure, brain damage X.X
TEST 1: IV therapy assessment = pass? fail? i dunno.

Chapter 3:
Read: CS Lewis, Out of a Silent Planet (whoever pls stop hogging the book!!)
Newton: Absolute space, Absolute time, Absolute GOD. amazing.
Twinkle, twinkle, big humongous star. bigger than the sun. it's so amazing cux God is like space, so infinite, uncomprehendable. yet He came down so small me and desires a personal relationship with me. awed.
TEST 2: MCQ. many calculation questions. which were actually quite easy to guess instead of calculating.

Chapter 4:
implication: p-> q (eg. If it rains on Sunday, I would not go out)
transitivity of implication: p-> q and q-> r, then p-> r
NB:we should also avoid hypothetical implications, otherwise the conculsion is merely speculative.

*before QT*
p-> q: if i don't do well, i will still submit to God
q-> r: if i submit to God, i will give thanks to Him
therefore, p-> r: if i don't do well, i will still give thanks to God
is this argument valid?
since statement one is speculative/hypothetical (i want to submit but it's so hard), the argument is invalid!!

*after QT*
p: if we look at earth's ruin instead of heaven's resources, we see the gloom instead of the glory
~p: if our gaze is focussed continually on God, we will see God's glory.
VALID!!! :) since (p U ~p) is always true.

ahhh. the beauty of maths. :)
TEST 3: 5 questions. 3 stupid mistakes. goodbye marks. :(

=congratulations, you have reached the end of the module=

putting everything i've studied so hard for into practice. i survived thru 3 tests and 1 long day from 8.30am-7.30pm of non-stop action (studying during every break before each test, rushing to celebrate birthday) thank God for really sustaining me.

CLC(conscious level chart): comatose!

TTSH (Tan Tock Seng Hospital) it shall be. yup, been posted there, my first choice. kinda glad cux it's so near bsf place and i can take mrt from gombak to novena, tho it's quite long.. but i think at the unearthly hour that i have to leave house, the trains would not be so crowded? so i'll have place to sit!! haha. and if i dun i can take the woodlands line which takea 10 mins more but i'll confirm have place to sit! haha.. better appreciate the time we have to sit, dun think we have much time during clinicals to sit.. haha.. kinda looking forward to clinicals.. cux it's acute hospital this time round.. no more boring-and-there's-nothing-to-do afternoons.. but i fear the memories that it may bring.
i'm thankful that there are Christian seniors who are posted to TTSH too (though wendy's posted to RH). but the shifts and all would be quite different cux they have night shifts..
think i should stop complaining about the past attachment place. i now know why God placed me there and i'm extremely thankful He did, tho i cab-ed there everyday and found out that i could take mrt and reach on time only on the last day. but i'm so thankful God gave me those extra special moments and i won't want to exchange it for anything else. which is also the reason why i didn't choose CGH. (i hope you stop asking me why n that's why i dun want to swap). familiarity is good and it is an advantage. but it also brings back memories. it'll be hard for me to walk into that place and not feel anything.
i think the complain-y attitude that is in me that is acting up again. esp during this period. i need to learn to give thanks more. argh.

i think i'm going crazy soon- trying to focus on studying, much less trying to understand it.. i think i've striking similarities to a goldfish- 3 secs!!!

sometimes i wish i could do more to help...
