had our last day of sch today :( actually, i don't really know what is our last day of sch. cux tues was the last day of proper lectures/tutorials, then wed was the last day that our class will be having sth together (management exam), but we had OSCE spread out over thurs and fri. mine was today so it's kinda my last day of having sch. but then after mental health posting, we have our study week and then our final exam on 31st mar (plus 2 essays due). so that's our last day too. but then after our ED and Transition-to-Practice posting (5 weeks!) we have our final gathering--closing the loop. so closing the loop is our final day in sch together. but then there's commencement. where it's really our final day in school. so which day is really our last day in school? i don't know. but we're just been taking photos everyday, every moment. hoping to capture every memory, every friendship. gonna miss everyone, even the difficult people.

Lie #1- "God is not really good. If He were, He would... "
- Often we doubt the goodness of God, we feel justified in rejecting His will and making our own decisions about right and wrong. The Truth is, God is good. Whether or not His choices seem good to us, He is good. Whether or not we feel it, He is good. Whether or not it seems true in my life or yours, He is still good.

Lie #2- "God doesn't love me."
- God loves me-- not because I have loved Him since I was four years old, because I seek to please Him, not because I speak at conferences and write books. He loves me-- because He is love. His love for me is not based on anything I have ever done or ever could do for Him. It is not based on my performance. I do not deserve His love and could never earn it. The Scripture says that when I was His enemy, He loved me... In spite of my alienation from Him , He loved me and sent His Son to die for me. He loved me in eternity past; He will love me for all eternity future. There is nothing I could do to make Him love me any less; there is nothing I can do to make Him love me any more.

Lie #3- "God is just like my father."
- If you want to know what God is really like, you need to turn to the Word of God, which clearly reveals what He is like; you need to get to know Jesus, who is the "radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being" (Hebrews 1:3)
Regardless of how we feel or what we think, the fact remains that He is a good Father who dearly loves His children- a Father who can be trusted with our lives
'... What a good earthly father would not do, God who is our Father would not do either; and what a good father ought to do, God who is our Father is absolutely sure to do'

-- taken from 'Lies Women Believe and the Truth that will Set Them Free' by Nancy Leigh DeMoss

realised that i've not blogged in here for super long. sch has since started and there's half sem left of my studying uni life. next sem will have only 4 different weeks of sch the rest of the weeks are filled with clinicals- at IMH, home nursing foundation, 4 weeks of TtoP.
sem "break" just started for us. it's not really a break. i have to finish 2 case studies, one essay that is 50% of our grade, one oral presentation to prepare, one reflective journal, PBL, and many more. i need to catch up with all the readings that i've been lacking in.

just tested the GB girls in their bandaging. going for yaf small group later. busy busy. sighh.. i really miss GB and all. working with the girls really makes me happy.. :)
okies.. gtg. lunching now.. :)

realisd that i've not blogged here for ages! (not that many people read my blog anyway).. i think i kinda forgot i had a blog..

it's the second last day of my long awaited holidays today. gonna work on thurs till next sat and then sch starts! not that i'm involved in orientation week but then it's the bidding week, with all the rubbishy stuff.. yes yes, i know i'm crazy to work for the remaining hols but then i guess i really need the $$$ since our sch is super budget and does not give us allowance when we have attachment! haha.. but i guess i can't deny that clinical provided us "an INVALUABLE EXPERIENCE", one that cannot compared with the $$$ loss we have to bear with. haha. but then working for uncle yau hong also gives me experience, with a bonous too--> $$$ :) haha.

i guess so much has happened since the last time i blogged. i fulfilled 9 weeks of clinicals, 3 weeks in gen surg ward, one in OT, another in CDC and the 4 weeks in 2 different ortho wards (not to mention the super fun night shift in the first ortho ward)! i enjoyed myself tremendously despite the fact that i had to work with someone difficult (not gonna elaborate here since everyone kinda alr knows what's going on and it has been talked about so much that i'm just so sick of the unkindness of it all)! i guess through it all, i've learnt to be more patient, even though i knew that i could have done a whole lot better. but sometimes i wonder where do you draw the line between being nice and letting the other person take advantage of you.. i remember wei-en once explaining it to us during Auxano when we were listening to the sermon on the mount- the beattitudes. "blessed are the meek..." but i guess the situations are different. i guess i should go dig up that auxano notes and read it again. but anyway, back to clinicals, i guess i'm really thankful cux we were all able to take cases, giving holistic care to the patients. and i'm really thankful for my first preceptor who taught me to care for the patient despite having so much admin to do as a staff nurse. she's really someone who i really aspire to be when i graduate.. she's proficient in her skills and knowledge, compassionate in her actions and i can really see God's love shining through her.. haha.. i feel like i'm repeating my clinicals feedback.. whoops..

i guess lately the main thing on my heart has been my dg.. many thoughts and i am really quite discouraged about things. but i guess i'm thankful for the advice, the affirmation and the encouragement that has been given to me. but most importantly, i'm quite thankful for how God has been revealing things to me, things which i've not given much thought to in the past. it's been quite a journey and i do hope that God would work a miracle in the girls' lives.

okies.. i need to stop blogging and go bathe... can't be late for bsf!! :)
